EPIC JR.
Empower. Perform. Include. Create.
A Neuro-inclusive Theatre Company
EPIC Jr., a theatre program that opens the stage to all types of artists and seeks to shine a light on neuro-diverse talent from ages 12-17. We believe our differences are our strengths. And that a more open stage connects artists and audiences to more representation, more inspiration, and more opportunities.
At EPIC Jr. we are an after school performing arts program that provides teens professional resources and connections in the theatre world, as well as a culminating final performance at an OFF-Broadway Theatre in Manhattan!
Why is Epic Jr. Important?
It is important that we SEE individuals and disabilities, especially on stage and in the media; representation is IMPORTANT! You can’t be what you can’t see.
Break down social barriers by illustrating by creating adaptations and debunking misconceptions - creativing neuro-diverse social communities.
Inclusion leads to a gained sense of Independence and increased self worth in individuals living with developmental disabilities.
Inclusion is important to families of persons living with disabilities. The number one thing parents say to us is that they “love the inclusion part”. Seeing their son or daughter being treated as equals - as they should be
Students will attend a weekly after-school rehearsal starting on September 13th and finishing in June 2024.
