Fall 2019

Peter and the Starcatcher

EPIC charged the stage at the HERE Arts Center for the first time with our production of Peter and the Starcatcher, a Peter Pan prequel based on the book of the same name (Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson), which had one reviewer remarking, “This production by EPIC Players filled the empty space the Broadway production left for me.” This story of a young orphan seeking a home in a world not forthcoming in providing one was greatly elevated by our neuro-diverse cast of rough-and-tumble pirates and vagabonds, natives and mermaids,  orphans and crocodiles, and, of course, the British elite. Said one reviewer, "The joy and commitment of the EPIC Players are infectious. I don’t know when I’ve seen so many people have such a good time. . . . All in all, the energetic exuberance of this group is something everyone can enjoy and appreciate. Take your kids. It’s a production for the ages.”
